Biography
Born: April 12th, 1942, Zgierz, Poland Education: 1966 - M.Sc. at Faculty of Chemistry, Lodz University, specialisation in analytical chemistry, 1974 - Ph.D. at Faculty of Chemistry University of Warsaw, 1984 - D.Sc. at Faculty of Chemistry University of Warsaw, 2000 - Professor of Chemistry Professional: 1966-67 - research assistant at Medical Academy of Lodz, 1967-74 - research assistant at University of Warsaw, 1974-91 - assistant professor, 1991-2000 - extraordinary professor, since 2000 - professor of chemistry; since 2005- ordinary professor, 1993-96 and 2003 – 2005 V-ce Dean of Faculty of Chemistry University of Warsaw, since 1993 Head of Laboratory of Applied Analytical Chemistry. Research Interest
Environmental analytical chemistry. Development of analytical methods for determination of trace elements in environmental samples. Biomonitoring studies with respect to Environmental Specimen Banking. Bioremediation studies. Monitoring of utilisation methods of domestic wastes. Problems of soil contamination by fertilisers and atmospheric fallout. Analytical monitoring of industrial processes. Speciation of elements in soil and plant material. Modern methods of sample preparation and digestion procedure.
