Jill Watts

Biography

Jill Watts has been the Group CEO for BMI Healthcare since November 2014. She has over 35 years’ experience in the healthcare industry and has held a number of senior executive roles in Australia and the UK. Prior to her appointment at BMI Jill was the Chief Executive Officer of Ramsay Health Care UK for over six years. Jill is one the industry's most respected characters. In 2010 she was voted as the most influential leader in UK independent health sector and in 2013 as one of healthcare’s most inspirational women. In 2009 and 2013 under Jill’s leadership Ramsay was voted as the best UK Independent healthcare provider. Jill has always been active in the industry and is a passionate advocate for driving improvement  and greater efficiency across the health care industry and for creating greater collaboration between the public and private sectors. Between 2009 and 2012 she was the Chair of NHS Partners Network. Jill is a Wharton Fellow and her postgraduate qualifications include an MBA, Health Administration and Information Systems Management. She is currently a Director of Netcare Ltd, Australian Business in the UK and the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia - Friends in the UK. Jill grew up in London and began her career in London as a Registered Nurse and Midwife before moving to live in Australia in 1981. She returned to the UK in 2008.
