Biography
Isabel Vasconcelos got her B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1984, her M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology in 1987, and her Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology in 1991. She currently holds an appointment as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology and belongs to its Research Centre. Since 2009 she is also the Faculty’s Dean. She teaches courses in industrial microbiology, bioreactor technology and fermentation & enzymology.
Research Interest
Isabel Vasconcelos research focuses on microbial physiology and biological process development.
