Biography
"My research interests are focused on the study of Biodiversity, Ecology and Conservation of Portuguese Bryoflora. During my PhD I have studied the patterns of variation of exposed saxicolous bryophyte communities in the North-West of Portugal and determined the influence of environmental and ecological variables in bryophyte species distribution. Presently, in my post-doc project conducted in collaboration between CIBIO-InBIO and JardÃn Botánico de Madrid (CSIC), I am investigating responses of saxicolous bryophyte species and communities to environmental changes scenarios by modelling potential distributions of bryophyte species and communities of extreme environments such as mountain rock outcrops. Other interests include community ecology and monitoring. "
