Biography
By combining the information gathered from these two fields, in my thesis I am trying to acquire a better knowledge on host pathogen interaction regarding tuberculosis (TB), studying both population (population genetics/genomics) and individual (genotype and gene expression) characteristics which are modulating mycobacterial infections as well as their interaction, using two natural TB hosts as a model, the Eurasian wild boar (Sus scrofa) and the red deer (Cervus elaphus).
Research Interest
My main research topics are the population genetics/genomics and health status of wildlife populations
