Biography
"I did my graduation in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and I first worked as a technician during some years in different research projects focusing on the wildlife management of small game. After I was a PhD student at the Instituto de Investigación en Recursos Cinegéticos IREC (CSIC-UCLM-JCCM), and my thesis was about the ecology and genetics of the redlegged partridges (Alectoris rufa) Currently I moved as a Post-doc researcher to CIBIO-InBIO, at the University of Porto. I am working trying to understand the mechanisms of reproductive isolation between two European rabbit subspecies (Oryctolagus cuniculus), combining behavioural, physiological or molecular approaches."
Research Interest
"I am interested on population biology, and my research interests are focused on the ecology, conservation and management of animal populations using multidisciplinary approaches. "
