Helder Cruz

Biography

Helder Cruz has a 5-year degree in Applied Chemistry, branch of Biotechnology, from Faculty of Sciences and Technology – New University of Lisbon (1994), an MBA in International Businesses from Catholic University – Lisbon (1999), a PhD in Biotechnology-Biochemical Engineering from ITQB-UNL (1999) and a Post-doc in the GLP-Good Laboratory Practices Lab of IBET (2000). He has large scientific experience obtained from participating in several international research projects in recombinant protein therapeutics (at the Animal Cell Technology Lab from IBET that included periods abroad at GBF (now HZI)-Germany and MIT-USA) and in Biosensors (at the Biomolecular Diagnostics Lab from ITQB/IBET). Helder has also experience as an evaluator and reviewer of EC-funded projects, as consultant of national and international companies and as lecturer of Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Bioengineering. Helder is founder and the current CEO of ECBio.
