Maria João Queiroz

Biography

More than two decades in executive leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry, Maria João Queiroz is a Founding Member and CEO at Eurotrials, a contract research organization (CRO) specialized in clinical research and drug development services. Eurotrials operates in Europe and Latin America. With a Degree in Medicine (cum laude), she also had, for a decade, activities in academic research and teaching. While doing the specialization in Immunohematology, she took the post-graduation in Pharmaceutical Medicine.  The two years spent in MSD, as an Assistant Medical Director for R&D, served to cement the idea that led to the decision of creating Eurotrials, back in 1995. Maria João has active participation in collaborative research forums, like Health Cluster Portugal (Board of Directors), Community Leadership Council at DIA, Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Nova University, Lisbon (External Board Member).
