Biography
Karen Gledhill oversees Fresenius Medical Care North America’s law department, which provides legal support to the company in practice areas which include corporate law, clinical research, health care regulatory, litigation, integrated and managed care, securities law, corporate finance, real estate, labor and employment, and FDA regulatory. Karen joined FMCNA in 2014 after serving as outside counsel to the company for the prior 18 years. She was formerly a shareholder and chair of the health care practice group at the Robinson, Bradshaw law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina. In that role, she represented providers and payers in health care regulatory and transactional matters, with extensive experience in health care mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. She holds a J.D. From Columbia University where she was a member of the Law Review and a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar, as well as an M.B.A. and B.A. from the University of South Carolina where she was a James F. Byrnes scholar. Karen is recognized as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
