Biography
Geoff Lebans has 30 years experience in underwater equipment design, towed systems, sensor platforms, winches and handling systems for towed sensors, and off-board craft launch and recovery systems. He holds a B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University, (then TUNS) and B.Sc. from Mount Allison University.Geoff was co-owner of Brooke Ocean Technology from 1990 until acquired by ODIM in 2006. While at ODIM Brooke Ocean, Geoff and his partner Arnold Furlong commercialized a number of technologies and grew the company to a team of over 50 employees. After ODIM was acquired by Rolls-Royce and became part of their Naval group in 2010, Geoff joined the Advanced Programs group in conjunction with being the business development lead for the Canadian Naval operations in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Peterborough, Ontario. Geoff also acted as the subject matter expert for off-board craft and unmanned vehicle launch and recovery systems.
