Biography

  Reason for Being a Scientist: I have always been the type of person who needs to know all the facts before making a decision, which naturally drew me to science. I love being able to look at data and see results that prove something without a doubt. Reason for Choosing IDRI: I love working for a non-profit where the goal is to help people rather than being focused on money. The people and culture at IDRI are amazing and it really makes coming to work every day enjoyable. Career Goal: I want to get more knowledge out there. I would love to see a time where everyone understands that vaccines are completely safe and why they are so necessary. I want to stop worrying about re-emerging preventable diseases that are coming back because people are uninformed. Hobbies: I love spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors, reading, and anything involving sports. I have an amazing husband and a one year old daughter who pretty much controls our entire life, but we love every second of it. I also have a big group of friends from college that live all over the country, but we still make an effort to get together at least once a year.
