Biography
Mr. Raul Diaz-Varela serves as Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kern Pharma at Grupo Indukern S.L. Mr. Diaz-Varela has been the President of Advanced In Vitro Cell Technologies S.A. since May 2011. He has been the Managing Director of KERN Pharma laboratories since 2003. Mr. Diaz-Varela has been the President of the Spanish generic medicine association AESEG since February 2008. He has worked in the family company throughout his professional career, in the chemical-pharmaceutical industries of the Indukern Group and held management positions in Industrial Kern Spain and in Indukern in Asia, Switzerland and Hong Kong. He serves as the Chairman of the Spanish Association of Generic Medicines (AESEG). Mr. Díaz-Varela represents Inversiones Divabe, S.A. Mr. Díaz-Varela has a business degree and an MBA from ESADE, Spain and a Masters in Foreign Trade from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
