Biography
José António Couto is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology. He got his B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Porto, Portugal (1988) and his Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology (Microbiology major) from the Catholic University of Portugal (1996). He teaches biology and microbiology and develops research in wine microbiology, food safety and diversity, taxonomy and physiology of food microorganisms.
