Biography
Paula Teixeira got her B.Sc. degree in Food Engineering and her Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from the Catholic University of Portugal, where she now works as Assistant Professor and researcher. Her interests include microbiological food safety, virulence factors of foodborn pathogens, Listeria monocytogenesand listeriosis, Campylobacter spp. and campylobacteriosis, microbiological characterization, technological improvement of traditional foods, bio-preservation agents (phages and bateriocins) and preservation of lactic acid bacteria.
Research Interest
Paula Teixeira research interest is in food engineering and bio-preservation agents.
