Gustavo Monteiro

Biography

 Director of Planning and Control, at Portugal Telecom since 2015,Gustavo Monteiro has 14 years of experience in the Telecommunications sector. He is responsible for the coordination of the annual budget exercise and for the necessary regular business and financial reporting, both to Altice and PT management. He joined Portugal Telecom in 2003 as product manager for Pay-TV business at the former cable company of the group. He held several other positions at Portugal Telecom, namely International Business Development Director, Board Member at CST, Digital Transformation Unit Director, and Continuous Improvement Manager. His professional career began in 1997 at Oliver Wyman (former Mercer Management Consulting) as a consultant and associate, where he managed several consulting projects mostly for telecom and media companies in Portugal, Spain and Brazil. Before joining Portugal Telecom, Gustavo worked in a Portuguese IT group (ParaRede), being directly involved in the company turnaround program and held different positions, namely Corporate Development Deputy Director and Head of Investor Relations. Gustavo Monteiro holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and an executive program in Competitive Strategy in Telecom Industry from INSEAD
