Carlos António Rocha Moreira Da Silva

Biography

Holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Porto University; MSc and PhD in Industrial Management from the University of Warwick in the UK. Between 1988 and 2000, he held several roles in companies of Sonae Group and Sonae Indústria Group and, in 2003, he has been appointed CEO of Sonae Indústria, SGPS, SA until April 2005. Since 1998, he is the Chairman of BA Group and was responsible for the company management buy-out in 2004. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Fundação de Serralves and a member of the “Global Leaders for Tomorrow” of the World Economic Forum.
