Biography
Dr. Kees Lucas, Ph.D. is a Venture Partner at Inventages Venture Capital Investment Inc. Dr. Lucas serves as an Independent Consultant for the biotech industry. Dr. Lucas is an Associate at the Lyon based Parteurop, Amsterdam based Middenduin, and Munich based Van Rooijen en Partners. He is an Associate and Member of the Advisory Board at Bionest Partners. He is a senior executive with proven track record in business development, operational management as well as strategic advising in biotech and pharma industry. He has a strong science and management background, experience in branding and marketing and in clinical studies. For five years, Dr. Lucas worked as the Senior Director of International Corporate Development at BiogenIdec. He has been involved in a several high profile deals and a large number of alliances. From 1998 to 2004, Dr. Lucas held a part-time professorship in Neuro-immunology at the Amsterdam University. He serves as a Director of Stemergie Biotechnology SA. For the Dutch government he was a Member of the prestigious Health Council. Dr. Lucas was also closely involved in worldwide activities around children vaccines (CVI, later GAVI). During this time, he was regarded as a key opinion leader on Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Lucas holds a Ph.D. in Medicine and has completed management training at IMD, Lausanne.
