Biography
Llorenç Mitjavila joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2007. He is a core group member of the Technology Advantage and Energy practices, and he has developed deep expertise in big data and advanced analytics—primarily within the Energy and Industrial Goods practices but also across other sectors. Llorenç has helped drive the IT transformation of some of BCG's power and gas and oil and gas clients, both within the context of PMIs and as well as a result of cost-reduction and productivity efforts. He therefore has experience in critical topics such as enterprise architecture, organization and processes, and sourcing. Additionally, he has expertise in de-risking large IT projects, having led the project management office (PMO) for several global, multiyear implementations of CIS systems. Llorenç also plays an active role in scaling up BCG's presence and capabilities in big data, with initiatives ranging from the analysis and development of strategic alliances to the creation of a European data and analytics working group formed by a number senior executives from selected European multinational companies. Before joining BCG, Llorenç worked as an assistant vice president at Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, where he was responsible for functional and technical support of electronic banking solutions for corporate customers.
