João Dias

Biography

 Dr. João Dias is an honors graduate of the University of Helsinki. He received his training in biochemistry and immunology from the Universities of Porto, Portugal and Wageningen, the Netherlands; and his PhD studies in Immuno Oncology and gene therapy at Helsinki University Central Hospital and Helsinki University, faculty of Medicine. He currently his responsible for the medical science for the Haemonetics Europe & Distribution region for the complete portfolio of products including in vitro coagulation diagnostics, and specialist blood management devices utilized in Hospitals and blood centers where he has received year on year top performance evaluation and several awards.  He has authored, or co-authored, several publications in Immuno-Oncology, Gene Therapy and Hemostasis and he is taken has the company clinical science expert in patient blood management. Dr. Dias is an Ad Hoc Reviewer for multiple journals. Additionally, he is an co-inventor in a patent in Immuno-Oncology and Gene Therapy. Prior to his tenure at Haemonetics Dr. Dias has worked in the R&D development of new Immuno oncology and gene therapy products and served as life-sciences consultant in multiple global life-science environments including Pharma, Vaccines and Food.
