Vasco Abecassis

Biography

 Vasco has a solid Big Pharma experience. As co-owner and General Manager of Sociedade Farmacêutica Abecassis (SFA), Vasco became General Manager of Cyanamid Portugal following American Cyanamid’s acquisition of SFA and a few years later, General Manager of Wyeth Portugal, after American Home Product’s acquisition of American Cyanamid Co. and subsequent merger of Cyanamid Portugal with Instituto Pasteur. Vasco then became Regional Manager of Wyeth Iberia and went on to become Group Vice-President of Wyeth Europe, Middle East & Africa. Throughout the years, Vasco has also performed several leadership functions in international Pharma organizations, namely in the Washington DC based PHARMA association. Vasco has a degree in Economics from Harvard University.
