Biography
Dr. Scalco is a geriatric psychiatrist, from Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2001 she came to Toronto to work at Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care, as a post-doctoral fellow, and worked with research in the area of cognitive dysfunction in geriatric depression and risk of Alzheimer’s. Since 2010 Dr. Scalco has been working at Portuguese Mental Health, with the Portuguese speaking population at Toronto Western Hospital and is Director of the Portuguese Mental Health program.
