Biography
Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, having completed the specialty of Clinical Hematology at the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon and at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He has completed his PhD and Aggregation at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon in 1998 and 2007. He is currently Assistant Professor of Clinical Hematology at Santa Maria Hospital, Associate Professor of Medicine, Director of the University Clinic of Hematology and Coordinator of the International Cooperation Center of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, and Principal Investigator of the Institute of Molecular Medicine.
