Biography
Barbara Bäckström holds a degree in Sociology from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon since 1993. She has a Master's degree in Historical and Social Demography from the same Faculty since 2007 and a doctorate in Health Sociology since 2006 also from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She is a lecturer at the Open University since 2000 and is responsible for curricular units in the area of ​​sociology and social sciences in the degree in Social Sciences, Postgraduate Equality and Inclusion Policies and Masters in Intercultural Relations and Studies on Women - Gender, Citizenship and Development and Doctorate in Intercultural Relations. She currently has the professional category of Assistant Professor.
