Biography
He was President of the Portuguese Association of Anglo-American Studies (2007-09). Researcher at the Institute of Art History of the University of Lisbon (2010-). Member of theAdvisory board of the European Journal of English Studies (2010-). Member of the Board of the European Society for the Study of English (2007-09). President of the Section of Art and Literature of the Society of Geography of Lisbon (2007-). Scientific Coordinator of Cosmos Editions (2009-). Author of America - Homeland of Heroes (Colibri), Sylvia Plath - The Hidden Face of the Poet (Cosmos), History ( s) of American Literature (Open University), Ekphrasis - The Poet in the Artist's Workshop (Cosmos). Translated works by William Faulkner, Sylvia Plath, Robert Lowell, Mary Renault, Virginia Woolf, Lewis Carroll, Herman Melville, Paul Selig.
