Leonard Amaral

Biography

Leonard Amaral, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor in Institute of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine of Lisbon at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He received his doctorate and completed his post-doctoral fellowship from City University of New York in 1968. Research Interest

His research interest mainly focuses on development of methods for rapid evaluation of over‐expressed efflux pumps of multi‐drug resistant bacteria and cancer cells, development of drugs for therapy of multi‐drug resistant tuberculosis infections and development of drugs for therapy of multi‐drug resistant cancers.
