Biography
Catarina Patrício (Lisbon, 1980) is a plastic artist and post-doctoral researcher with FCT scholarship at CECL, FCSH-UNL, with the program "Smart City: cinema, utopianism and governmentality in the post-industrial city". Professor at the UHLT since 2010, Catarina Patrício holds a doctorate in Communication Sciences from FCSH-UNL, a specialty in Contemporary Culture and New Technologies, a research funded by the FCT on war and technology. Master in Anthropology of Social Movements by FCSH-UNL (2008), Catarina Patrício has a degree in painting from the FBA-UL (2003) and studied photography at Faschoschule Bielefeld in 2000. She has essays published in international books and journals, has organized lecture and coordinated exhibitions. Catarina Patrício develops her activity between artistic practice.
