Biography
Paulo Simoes is Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics Engineering of the University of Coimbra, Portugal, from where he obtained his doctoral degree in 2002. He is also senior researcher at LCT/CISUC and regularly collaborates with Instituto Pedro Nunes, as senior consultant.
Research Interest
His main research interests include Network and Infrastructure Management, Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection. He has over 100 publications in refereed journals and conferences, and he regularly serves on program committees of international conferences of these areas. He has been involved in several European research projects (FP6 EUQOS, FP6 WEIRD, FP6 CONTENT, FP6 Open Net, FP7 Ginseng, FP7 MICIE, FP7 CockpitCI, COST Intellects’) and industry funded research projects, with technical and management responsibilities.
