Biography
During the last years, she had been participating in several innovative projects in collaboration with several R&D laboratories and pharmaceutical companies, developing new bio drugs and biosimilars for the treatment of diseases with important clinical relevance such as inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, cancer, HIV, type 2 diabetes, and multiresistant bacterial responsible for nosocomial infections. Her work experience was focused in the development of new therapeutic approaches, protein engineering and analytical methods for bio drug design and characterization. Recently, she had been working in the creation, transfer, development and validation of analytical methods to analyse and characterize APIs (compounds and peptides) and pharmaceutical formulations (tablets, capsules and implants). She learned key technical and conceptual skills in recombinant protein and antibody engineering, drug-delivery, nanoparticles, bacteriophages/endolysins therapeutic applications, drug pharmacokinetics and bio-distribution improvement, molecular biology and microbiological manipulation, isolation and diagnosis. Furthermore, she acquired several skills in protein design, expression and purification, protein analysis (SDS-PAGE, Western blot) and structural studies (CD, SPR, ITC, FT-IR, NMR, X-ray crystallography), therapeutic efficacy studies, half-life extension, cell culture and characterization (flow cytometry), animal manipulation and trialling.
