Biography
Helena Mendonca Assistant Professor Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. The area of ​​dominant scientific activity is Inorganic Chemistry. In the specialty, the research carried out is part of Solid State Chemistry / Electrochemistry of Solids with regard to the synthesis of new compounds, their structural characterization, as well as application in the field of Solid Electrochemistry and the photodegradation of organic pollutants . The reference materials are compounds with a spinel-like structure whose properties make them technologically promising when applied alone or in the form of composites associated with other oxides or sulphides. Nano forms have shown in recent years even more surprising results which led to the development of this type of materials and their application in different fields.
