Biography
working as professor at Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry . Completed PhD in Chemistry. The scientific interests are focused in the field of Analytical Chemistry with special emphasis on the development and application of methods involving chromatographic (GC and LC), electrophoretic (EC) and hyphenated (GC-MS and LC-MS) techniques. In this sense, the development, optimization and validation of new analytical methodologies, with particular focus on modern sample preparation approaches, namely solid phase extraction (SPE), solid phase microextraction (SPME) and sorbent extraction in the stir bar (SBSE) followed by chromatographic analysis have been the main research lines. Recently it has been involved in the development of innovative analytical strategies, based on sorption microextraction techniques leading to the vestigial analysis of priority compounds in several types of complex matrices.
