Biography
Silvia Carvalho is currently Assistant Professor of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, coordinator of the degree in Biochemistry, and member of the Enzymology group of the Center of Chemistry and Biochemistry of FCUL.
Research Interest
Synthesis, characterization and applications of conducting polymers and of metal and semiconductor nanoparticles; Surface modification with conducting polymers and with nanoparticles; Study of nanostructured materials, composites and hybrid materials; Fibers modification with nanoparticles and / or conducting polymers; Photo (electro) catalysis; Pollutants removal from water.
