Dr. Jorge R. Schmidt Nieto is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Social Science, University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. His research interests includes language policy, politics of Latin America and the Caribbean, political economy. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Jorge R. Schmidt Nieto is the member of many international affiliations. He/ She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He /she has authored of many research articles/books related to language policy, politics of Latin America and the Caribbean, political economy.
