Biography
Dr. Sameer Moopan is the Chief Executive Officer of Aster DM Healthcare for their Qatar operations. He did a crucial role in conceiving Aster in Qatar. Dr. Sameer completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College Mangalore, did his houseman ship in Government Medical College Calicut. He then joined as Project Coordinator for Malabar Institute of Medical sciences, a 900 bedded hospital of international standards in Kerala. He was involved in the planning and execution of this project. Dr. Sameer Moopan came to Doha in 2002 to start the operations of Aster DM Healthcare in Qatar. He was in charge of the group and is responsible identifying and executing the projects for the group and stated the very successful Aster Medical Centres – Al Rafa Poly Clinic and Medinova Diagnostic Centre in Doha in early 2003. Now the group has 7 clinics, 7 pharmacies and 1 diagnostic centre. Aster Hospital, a 50 bedded facility is constructed in near the old airport, Doha and expecting inauguration by the mid of 2017.
