Biography
Dr. Amal Mohammed Al Malki is the Founding Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, which is the home of the Translation and Interpreting Institute. Dr. Al Malki has established and run the Translation and Interpreting Institute as the Executive Director since 2011. Before that, she was Associate Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar where she taught courses in writing composition, postcolonial literature, theories of translation, and Islamic Feminism.
