Biography
Prof Bantekas is Professor of International Law and Arbitration at Brunel University, School of Law and senior fellow at the School of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) University of London. He has held visiting appointments at Harvard, Miami, Trier, Rosario and elsewhere and has consulted law firms, private clients, NGOs and international organisations, such as the UN, UNDP, Council of Europe and the EU on a variety of issues concerning international law, arbitration, international development and human rights. He regularly acts as arbitrator in international commercial disputes. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles in journals including the American Journal of International Law, British Yearbook of International Law, ICLQ, European Journal of International Law, Arbitration International and Journal of International Dispute Settlement. International and comparative criminal law; public international law; international arbitration; international human rights, particularly socio-economic rights.
