Joel Colon-rios

Biography

Joel Colón-Ríos (JD University of Puerto Rico, LLM University of Toronto, PhD Osgoode Hall Law School) is a Visiting Professor at HBKU Law School. He teaches Constitutional Law and International Law. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Victoria University of Wellington, where he teaches Introduction to Case Law, Advanced Public Law, and Comparative Law, and coordinates the LLB Honours Programme. Before becoming an academic, Professor Colón-Ríos practiced law in Puerto Rico, mainly in the area of family law. He was also a law clerk at the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals.
