Philip F Postlewaite

Biography

Professor Postlewaite has written on and taught about the law of income taxation from the perspective of the United States for over 45 years. He is also the Founding Director of the highly – ranked Graduate Tax program of Northwestern Law School. The Program recently welcomed its sixteenth class. Professor Postlewaite has published more than 50 casebooks and treaties on - basic taxation, partnership taxation, and international taxation throughout his career. In addition, he has published more than 50 articles on these topics.

Research Interest

The law of the Federal income taxation of the United States regarding partnership and their members as well as inbound and outbound transactions of international taxation involving the United States.
