Biography

Dr Jassim is our Periodontist He has been a consultant at Hamad Medical Corporation since 2003, Dr Jassim became co-founder of the IDKATAR dental centre in 2014. He prides himself on attention to detail and a continuous strive for perfection. Periodontology is a specialty of dentistry that studies supporting structures of the teeth, as well as the diseases and conditions that affect them. The supporting tissues are known as the Periodontium, which includes the gingival (gums), alveolar bone, cementum and the periodontal ligament. Implantology is the specialty which involves placing an artificial tooth root into the alveolar bone which will then be covered with a prosthesis replacing the missing tooth. Dr Jassim holds the following qualifications: Diploma from the American Board of Periodontology, with a MSc in oral biology Certificate in periodontology and fellowship in implantology from the University of Pennsylvania (USA) Diplomate and fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantology
