Dr. Bing Guo’s current research focuses on surface soiling due to dust accumulation and its mitigation. He is developing an electrodynamic dust shield (EDS, or Dust Shield) technology as a potential “anti-dust” solution. He is also interested in dust deposition in aviation engines. Dr. Guo offers courses in Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Principles of Building Energy Analysis, and Research Methods and Experiences (undergraduate research). He has expertise in aerosol science and technology, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, nanotoxicology and representativeness of gaseous effluent sampling.
