Biography
Dr. Prasanna Khot is a Senior Staff Scientist with Charles River’s Microbial Solutions and is based out of the Accugenix facility at Newark-Delaware. Dr. Khot has over twelve years’ experience working with microbial diagnostics spanning Clinical Microbiology and Environmental Monitoring. During this period, he has successfully led numerous projects to develop, optimize and implement microbial diagnostic assays using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and nucleic acid amplification. In addition, he has authored several publications in prominent infectious diseases journals. Dr. Khot earned his PhD from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular diagnostics of infectious diseases at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle. Before joining Charles River, he worked as a scientist for ARUP Laboratories, Salt Lake City (a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory).
