Biography
Dr Sceats joined CN Bio Innovations in 2010 as Commercial Manager to spearhead the organisation’s sales, marketing and business development activities. She has led sales and partnering initiatives with major pharmaceutical organisations and overseen academic research and licensing programs, including with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that have led to the development of the company’s leading technologies and IP. She assumed the role of CEO in January 2016.Dr Emma Sceats obtained a DPhil in Chemistry from Oxford University after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2004 (M.S. Chemistry). She spent three years at Isis Innovation, Oxford’s technology transfer company, managing and licensing a diverse portfolio of IP and software developed at the University. Amongst more than 50 of her projects encryption software that prevents so-called “man-in-the-middle” attacks, conceived and developed at Oxford with US military funding, is now the subject of a successful spin-out with offices in London and San Francisco focusing on secure data transmission and payment protocols.
