Biography
Pagnano is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He earned his medical degree from George Washington University Medical Center. After his orthopedic residency at Mayo Clinic he completed a Knee Reconstruction Fellowship at the Insall-Scott-Kelly Institute. Dr. Pagnano runs a busy clinical practice that spans the spectrum of adult reconstructive problems and has a particular interest in improving the reliability, reproducibility and efficiency of knee and hip arthroplasty. He and his research team have published over 100 original peer-reviewed scientific publications and have received multiple national research awards from The Knee Society, The Hip Society and The American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. A frequent faculty member at national and international orthopedic educational meetings Dr. Pagnano is known for his pragmatic approach in analyzing and solving controversial issues in knee and hip arthroplasty.
