Research Interest
Experiment and modeling electrical measurements (current-voltage, current-temperature, current-capacitance characteristics) and photoconductive measurents (photocurrent-temperature, photocurrent-voltage, spectral dependence of the photocurrent at constant temperature); Hall measurements; Electrochemical preparation of nanocrystalline porous silicon layers; Magnetron sputtering deposition with “in situ” ellipsometry; LEED and Auger spectroscopy. Ge-based nanostructures: preparation of Ge nanoparticles embedded in a-SiO2, TiO2 and HfO2 matrix, by magnetron sputtering; investigation of electrical processes, phototransport and Hall effect; Carbon nanotubes based structures: electrical processes. Si–based nanostructured films: preparation of Si nanodots embedded in a-SiO2 matrix; investigation of microstructure, electrical transport, phototransport, and photoluminescence (evidencing quantum confinement effects). Porous silicon (micro- and nanocrystalline): electrochemical preparation; investigation of electrical transport, phototransport, trapping phenomena; Porous Si – based nanostructures for biosensors;
