Biography
Dr. Phys. Crina BUCUR works in MANAGEMENT OF RADIOACTIVE WASTE AND ARS FUEL IN NUCLEAR SECURITY CONDITIONS. Work and research includes Radioactive waste characterization: development of methods for the characterization of radioactive waste generated by the operation, maintenance and decommissioning of Cernavoda NPP, of those generated by the operation of nuclear installations in ICN or other nuclear technology applications; Development of new technologies for the treatment / conditioning of various types of radioactive waste (molecular slam, slam) from the operation, maintenance and decommissioning of Cernavoda NPP, those generated by ICN activities or other nuclear technology applications; Conceiving, designing and testing the burned fuel storage basket and its transfer container at the Ars Fuel Intermediate Storage Facility; Development of methodologies (experimental and modeling) necessary to support the safe and secure storage and storage of radioactive waste of weak and medium active radioactive waste; Development of methodologies (experimental and modeling) necessary to support the program for the safe storage and storage of long-life radioactive waste and CANDU burned fuel; Long-term behavior of burned nuclear fuel in the Final Warehouse.
