Biography
Rimantas Vaitkus was born on 1 October 1957 in PlungÄ—. Dr Vaitkus has been Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania since February 2013. Since February 2013 Dr Rimantas Vaitkus received his Ph.D. in the field of organic chemistry, he had research grants at Uppsala University (Sweden) and Creighton University (Nebraska, USA). Previously, he was Vice-Rector of Vilnius University
