Biography
Gabriele Abermann is Professor of English and Intercultural Communication in the degree programme Information Technology and Systems Management at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. She has served as Vice Rector with a focus on teaching and internationalization from 2011-2013. As Director of International Relations from 2004 -2013 she has been seminal in building and extending the institution’s partner network as well as in implementing the internationlization strategy. Dr. Abermann holds a PhD in English language and literature and has extensive teaching experience in Austria and abroad. She has been involved in several EU-funded projects in the area of elearning and student mobility.
Research Interest
Her research interest includes has coordinated the SKILL2E project, the first Austrian university-enterprise cooperation project, which aimed at enhancing the intercultural competence acquisition of students on transnational placements and intensifying the dialogue between universities and enterprises.
