Biography
Norman Apsley OBE, FREng FIAE FInstP CPhys, CEng. Chief Executive, Catalyst Inc, formerly NI Science Park Foundation Ltd. Dr Norman Apsley has had a forty five year career in applied scientific research and in its commercialisation, working in academe as well as in public and private sectors. Norman was educated at Larne Grammar School and at Ulster and Cambridge Universities, achieving a First Class Honours Degree and PhD in Physics. He ended his time in academe as a Research Fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory and as a Fellow of Jesus College, both in Cambridge.
Research Interest
His research interest his organisation from initial concept to full physical embodiment, headquartered on Queen’s Island but stretching through the north of Ireland, with its own position between academe, public and private sectors aiming to improve the economy
