Biography
Christian Messmacher joined EVRAZ North America in September 2011 as Strategy Director – Long Products. He was named Vice President – Investor Relations in 2014. During his tenure, Messmacher has led a number of initiatives. He developed and implemented the operational improvement strategy for the company's Canadian oil country tubular business and developed business strategies for the rail, wire rod and flat products businesses. Prior to EVRAZ, Messmacher was a consultant with Booz and Company, a global management consulting firm, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies across a wide range of business segments including steel, heavy equipment, pharmaceuticals, and specialty chemicals. He also has over 15 years of experience in general and operations management for global manufacturing companies. Messmacher holds a master's degree in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and industrial engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey
