Biography
Dan Durn was appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Applied Materials, Inc. in August 2017. Dan joined Applied from NXP Semiconductors N.V., where he was executive vice president and CFO. He had previously been CFO of Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. up until the merger with NXP. Before Freescale, Dan was CFO and executive vice president of finance and administration at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. Prior to that he was head of M&A and strategy at Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC), a $15 billion private equity company. He also served as vice president in technology investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Company and was a member of its merger leadership group.
