Biography
Dr. Robert E. Harrell received his Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1977. He completed his residency at UAMS in the Department of Family and Community Medicine in 1980 and studied at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981. Dr. Harrell is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association. Dr. Harrell previously served as the Acting Deputy Associate Deputy Chief Medical Director Ambulatory Care Veterans Affairs Central Office in Washington, D.C. and currently serves as a Staff Physician at Baptist Health Medical Center and a Contract Physician for the John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Little Rock. Dr. Harrell has conducted Phase I and Phase II clinical trials as a PI/Sub-I in the private sector from 2004 to 2013 and is highly accomplished with multiple medical publications, presentations, and committee memberships. Dr. Harrell has been associated with Applied Research Center of Arkansas since 2015.
